Have you had your gas turned off to your home or business?

If you have come home and found you don't have any gas the chances are your supply has been temporarily turned off.  But why you might ask?  This is a great question!

There is most likely two main reasons why your gas supply might have been turned off.  One you haven't paid your over due utilities bill OR two you have a gas leak somewhere on your property.

It is in most cases scenario number two is the answer to the question and this is what we are going to further educate on in this web page on google.

Mayfair Plumbing and Gasfitting are experts in the field of gas leak locations and it is for this reason that we are a preferred choice for gasfitting and have been for over 20 years continually delivering fantastic results at competitive rates.

Gas leaks can be very simple, but once the most obvious points of identification for a gas leak have been exhausted the next step can be quiet extensive.

Some of the more obvious reasons for a gas escape to register can be an appliance which has not been shut off properly, things like pilot light buttons staying stuck in the on location and gas cook top knobs not being completely turned to the off position.  Another common place that our gas plumbers do find leaks coming from around the suburb of Henley Beach is old gas fire places where the inlet controls don't shut off properly anymore and they are letting small amounts of gas pass through even when the appliances is not in use (very dangerous).

If you need the assistance of one of our staff members contact us today by email or phone and talk your scenario over with us.
